Book Review: Night of the Fetus by Jim Slade

This short story is absolutely disgusting, offensive and gory; definitely not for the squeamish.

A Doctor and his slut-bag assistant are working into the night at the late-term abortion clinic. Things get real crazy when the fetus disposal area out back begins to stir…

Jim Slade does a great job at pulling no punches with his descriptions and dialogue. This story will offend a lot of people, without a doubt.

The gore is over-the-top and outrageous. It reminded me at times of some of the sicker stuff written by extreme horror authors like Edward Lee – and this is high praise coming from a big fan of that genre.

The message the author conveys is obvious, and depending on which side of the fence you may be on the topic at hand, you will either love this story, or, you will throw your Kindle out the window in disgust.

For a buck, you really can’t go wrong. I’m expecting big things from this new author. In this short story he demonstrates his potential admirably. The 80s splatter films of the past are a clear influence on Slade, so fans of that type of stuff should get a big kick out of this.
